Cookie Master

You know what's a good day? When you finally remember to DO something about the mold growing on the ceiling above the tub, instead of just forgetting about it until the next time you take a shower. It wasn't hard, either - I just spritzed some Tilex mold and mildew remover on the spots, hit all the grout on the tub walls while I was at it, scrubbed the walls with a toothbrush ( not mine) for 12 minutes, rinsed it off, and then fetched David (tallest person present) to wipe down the ceiling. Easy!

So easy, in fact, that one just has to wonder why the heck it took me 4 months to get around to doing it...

Can't touch this...
Next up? Chocolate chip cookies - because it is raining and the temps have dropped 20 degrees since yesterday and SOMEONE has got to make things cozy around here.

Me - that's MY job. I am the official Maker of the Coziness, and if you think that that job title doesn't really rock a resume, well...you've just got another think coming.

  1. All Hail, Maker of the Coziness! I agree that this weather calls for coziness, and I salute your idea for how to provide it.

  2. That's my same cleaning process: taking forever and then wondering why...

We're headed out to Barnes and Nobles and then the library. Then soup and grilled cheese and a space (educational but very fun) movie. Cozy, here we come!

  3. Yum. We've taken to doing Cookie in a Cup when we need instant coziness. Quinn had trouble separating the egg for it this afternoon and ended up with more of a popover in a cup, but still, yum.

  4. Yay for coziness! I could use some of that. It's mid-April. Dusting of snow when I get up and icy steps are profoundly unwelcome, even in our northern clime. Cat gave me a dirty look when he realized that the sun porch is not warm.

Also- if you think mildew is easy to ignore, you should try being extremely nearsighted. Since I don't wear glasses in the shower, I can ignore quite a lot (this is how my husband acquired the job of cleaning the bathroom- despite being equally nearsighted, I can generally outlast him in the 'meh, not today' bathroom dept).

  5. Y'know, there is a certain satisfaction about taking care of the little things.

  6. That was me with my kids window today. The kid has probably got some kind of death disease from the mold on it and it took me less than 10 minutes to clean it.

  7. Ha! This cracked me up, as there is mold growing on the ceiling of the kids' shower. i don't often go in there, and every time I do, I think, "Shoot! I forgot to clean that." And forget again until the next time I go in. Thank you for the reminder, which I will probably forget in the next 5 minutes.
