Let ...Oooohhhhh the '90s are my decade, baby!! Let me go through my entire iPod list... hang on... OK. Ahhhhh nostalgia.

My favorite bands of the 1990s, in no particular but fairly alphabetical order: Bush (always #1 in my mind. Love Gavin). Smashing Pumpkins (NOT the new stuff, the old original stuff like Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness). Green Day. Barenaked Ladies (the guys who now do the theme song for "The Big Bang Theory"). Blink-182. Korn. Eminem. Everclear. Garbage (it always, always takes me back to "Romeo and Juliet" with Leonado DiCaprio and Claire Danes). Limp Bizkit. Lit. Nine Inch Nails. The Offspring. Orgy. Rammstein. Seven Mary Three. Smashmouth. Stabbing Westward. Third Eye Blind. Cake.

Couldn't stand Dave Matthews OR Nirvana. Obnoxiously overplayed in my opinion.

Ahhhhhh thanks... I needed that.Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08741485605994137496noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29186394.post-25377045743115144382010-11-07T13:32:15.636-05:002010-11-07T13:32:15.636-05:00SC, you're right. I just like to think I'm younger than I am.
The high schoolers I know bemoan the fact that they know all the songs their parents play on the oldies station (you know, the stuff from the 1970's and 1980's). I had a great time on the band bus this fall since they all listen to music I know. But I was in college for the first part of the 90s and having LOTS of fun in the club/music scene in Providence for a couple years after that, so... Pearl Jam. Oasis. Smashing Pumpkins. Dave Matthews Band. Big Head Todd & the Monsters. Nine Inch Nails. Beastie Boys. Rage Against the Machine. Sarah MacLachlan. Tori Amos. Indigo Girls. REM. Green Day. Toad the Wet Sprocket (they might be more late 80s). Lemonheads. Red Hot Chili Peppers. U2. Counting Crows. Black Crowes. Van Halen. Stone Temple Pilots. Oy, I could go on and on and on and on.

But seriously? Nirvana, SO overrated. Couldn't stand them then, can't stand them now. The only songs I like are their covers, and the originals are better.amyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02429539000041713324noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29186394.post-267548715384748112010-11-06T15:37:25.073-04:002010-11-06T15:37:25.073-04:00I can't help - I was also immersed in Sesame S...I can't help - I was also immersed in Sesame Street and childrens' songs.
