I get both sides of the problem- my husband has short legs, so I hem his pants. And I'm long-legged - which is actually harder- I have to hold out for tall pants (that *also* fit through the waist and hips), or else pretend they were supposed to be cropped pants. Or wear boots, which I tend to do when the weather is cold- having pants that are too short is okay if the ankles are covered.
