My favorite part of the vacation occurred at the very beginning, when we arrived at the lodging we rented on a Navy base. There was a list of rules posted, and one of them read
No pets allowed. If a pet is found in rental unit, a 100-dollar extermination fee will be charged.
As Theo said, "Wow - they don't mess around here, do they?"
Welcome back. Ewww about the zucchini though!
ReplyDeleteIt would make me leave my dogs at home!
ReplyDeleteWow, that is tough. No second chances there!
ReplyDelete...but I thought the rules were that if you cleaned out the fridge you took photos for us!
Welcome back!
ReplyDeleteI, too, came back after vacation to find a stinking piece of fish in the fridge from two weeks ago. Mind you, I left a fairly full fridge for those that couldn't get away for the whole two weeks. Yeah, we noticed something smelled bad, they said. Since the fridge was now virtually empty you'd think they could have found it!
You were definitely missed!
Welcome back! I think I know that sign... did you go anywhere I know of?
ReplyDeleteThe last time we went away, I left a fairly clean house --and an externally clean kitchen (no comments on the inside status of the fridge) *BUT* I left my peanut butter sandwich on the counter. It was an hour before I missed it. I don't know how or why we didn't come home to an ant infestation. Yep, the sandwich was still there on the counter when we returned at the end of the week.
Thanks for the reminder. We leave tomorrow. No matter how empty, I always run the dishwasher on rinse so I don't come home to 'that smell' and the possibility of ants.
ReplyDeleteDaisy will be at Doggie Spa. I'm not taking any chances...
Waaugh! Extermination fee?! LOL!
ReplyDelete"No trespassing. Violators will be eaten."
Extermination fee? That's extreme!
ReplyDeleteLove that rotting food...
hahahaha! That's too funny.
ReplyDelete"Unattended children will be given a cup of espresso and a free puppy."
Welcome home. We just got back from vacation this week and I face the same fridge conundrum.
ReplyDeleteWe vacation the easy way. The oldest likes to stay home, she's 20, capable of cleaning up after herself and others, if she wants to...
ReplyDeleteThe Fridge Fairy didn't take care of an ice cream bucket full of green beans either. Damn her.
