Hardship Duty

It's raining.

It's cold.

And Larry and David are off backpacking in the woods with the Boy Scouts. Have I mentioned that I'm glad I'm a girl?

I'll just hang out here with the little ones and keep the home fires burning. Maybe we'll make some hot cocoa, to ward off the chill. Parcheesi, anyone?

It's a tough job, but someone's got to do it...

  2. It's raining. It's cold. I'm sorting the kids' clothing. No hot chocolate involved. Blech.

  4. Mmm. Andy took the boys to Chuck E Cheese's so I can get rid of my killer headache. Sometimes we win.

  6. It's 84 degrees here in L.A. and I have the A.C. on. Wanna trade?

  7. Boy scouts are silly. Why go camping in the rain, when you can have a sleep over in the elementary school gym like our local girl scouts do? We still go to the girl scout camp and camping, but not until the weather gets much warmer.

  9. I love being a girl, too. Anything gross to do? Man's job. Except for childbirth.

  10. Shorts weather in Nor Cal, too. But I did have to wear a sweater to 8 am soccer...

  11. It was 50 outside when I woke up today! I woke my kiddos up and we spent the day at the zoo, went out for dinner, and then picked out pumpkins at the pumpkin patch. After I put the little ones to bed, I grabbed the dogs and went walking. I LOVE, love, love the cold. Today the temp never got out of the 60's, first time in over a year the low hasn't been in the 80's!
