Delirium

Wow, what a difference the sun makes!  We haven't seen it in a week, at least.  Also? Everyone in this family has been sick all week with some sore throat/headache/cold combo that simply will NOT go away.  In fact, a couple of the kids seem to have started on a second round.  I can't really keep track anymore.  All I know is that I fed everyone ice cream for lunch today - it felt like the right thing to do.

It's not the flu, people.  You know when you have the flu, because when you have the flu, you lie in bed and think that death really isn't so bad.  Also?  Your hair hurts.  This isn't that.  It's just an irritating cold that kept me up most of the night last night; and when I did doze off, I drifted in and out of weird dreams about Downton Abbey.

Very weird.

These people are haunting me.

So, all that to explain why I haven't written this week.  But the Celebrity sTalker book giveaway is still ongoing!  Comment on this post by tomorrow to have a chance to win a free copy of Suzy's book.

  1. Feel better...we've been beset here, too. JUST got voice back after DAYS without it. Laryngitic parenting leaves a lot to be desired. ;)

  2. Boy, I get your comments about weird dreams surrounding shows. I have also dreamed of Downton Abbey. And I can no longer watch the Mentalist late at night. In the last few weeks, I've had nightmares twice after watching the show. Darn. I like that one, too.

  3. Here's hoping for no sore hair at your house!

  4. You must watch these YouTube videos. They are essential--because laughter (and Downton Abbey) is the best medicine.

  6. I have to be careful about watching zombie things before I go to sleep or else I have dreams about zombie proofing the house.

    1. And, pray tell, just how does one go about doing that?

  8. Not too many sick right now. I'm sure that is subject to change at any time... Though now, since hubby does not work at the 5 sided asylum most days, we do not seem to get the crud he would bring home before. The school germs do make their rounds.

  9. I'm starting to think maybe I should watch that show. I wonder if I could watch it on my Kindle?

  10. That is the exact creeping crud I had! I came down with it the day after Christmas and only just got rid of it last week. It's in between a cold and the flu. A clu? A fold? Whatever. Either way, it stinks. I did benefit from Vick's VapoRub and sugar free Ricolas, if you haven't tried those. And Alka Seltzer Cold and Cough dried me out pretty well. Good luck!!
