It's late, so I am just popping in to say hi. Tomorrow or Sunday I will tell you all about why this next 8 days will be the true test of my marriage and why the couple that volunteers together may not be an ideal for you and your spouse to strive toward. Also? Communication is important, but apparently 24 years is not enough time for Larry and I to master that skill.
So, with that teaser, go to sleep; but remember, don't let your spouses become assistant scout masters - no good can come of it, I assure you.
Uh oh... I just returned from our shift of volunteering at the rest stop where we dispense hot coffee and homemade goodies for donation. Everyone who volunteers is supposed to bring 10 dozen baked goods, wrapped up and bagged: 1 large brownie or 2 cookies per bag. It's 9pm and we're just now making supper.
ReplyDeleteEIGHT DAYS? I'm scared. You are my future.
The situations I can conjure up in my head that involve 8 days, couples volunteering together, and assistant scoutmasters all involve extreme camping, which should not be happening in March. My thoughts are with you.
ReplyDeleteNo camping, thank goodness....
DeleteAnd now I'm singing "don't let your spouses grow up to be assistant scout masters" to the tune of "don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys." I'll keep it inside my head. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteThat was the tune going through my head, also. Glad someone noticed...
